Alicemae Justen, age 85 of Monclova, Ohio died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Alicemae was born on December 26, 1923 to Charles and Mary Ellen Murphy Stewart. She was a 1942 graduate of Scott High School. Alicemae married the love of her life Thomas H. Justen, Sr. on June 10, 1944 at St. Teresas Parish. For 52 years they made their home in Monclova Township and treasured 56 years of marriage until Toms death in January 2000. Alice is survived by her son Tom III and daughter Debbie and son-in-law David, brother, Chuck and sisters, Marciel and Cookie. Alicemae has four surviving grandchildren, Tim Justen, Chad Teresa Jaegle, Alison Jaegle Jason George and Justen Jaegle. Alicemae was a very special Nana to great-grandchildren Brittani Jaegle, Hannah Jaegle and Austin Jaegle. Aunt Alicemae will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Alicemae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom; infant son, Thomas H. Justen II; granddaughter, Rachael Marie Justen; great-granddaughter Madison Justen and daughter-in-law Carol Justen. Alicemae and Tom loved to travel, visiting family and friends in Florida, Texas and Arizona. Alicemae was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and with her affiliation with the Lucas County Democratic Party. Alicemae was very active in her community; she was the founder of the Block Watch program in Lucas County, bringing the program first to Monclova Towhnship. Alicemae was past president of the Monclova Democratic Club and a volunteer at St. Lukes Hospital. Friends and family may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Thursday, March 12 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Friday, March 13, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed John XXIII Church, 24250 Dixie Highway, Perrysburg, OH.
