Alice R. Verb, 92, of Oak Harbor, passed away May 15, 2009 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. She was born in Toledo, OH to John and Lillian Taubitz Hauck. On June 3, 1940 in Toledo, OH she married F. John Verb, and he preceded her in death. For 10 years Alice worked at Display Vendors located at the Erie Ordinance Depot. She enjoyed watching TV, reading her magazines, making crafts, and painting. Alice also loved the company of her two cats Angel and Kelly. Alice is survived by her daughter, Charlene M. Verb, of Port Clinton, OH, sons, John Judy Verb of Oak Harbor, Frank Sheila Verb of Oak Harbor, and Bob Diane Verb of Graytown, grandchildren, Joe, Jody, Robert, and Betsy Verb, Jamie, Mike, and Jason Riffle, great grandchildren, Bryce Hinds, Riley Verb, Gracey and Isabela Riffle and dear friend, Helen Myrice of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, F. John Verb, grandson John Verb, and special friend, J. Porentas, Per the request of Alice there will be no services.
