Alice R. Skinner, 95, of Oak Harbor, died early Thursday morning, April 5, 2012, in Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. Alice was born November 13, 1916, in Carroll Township, Ottawa County, to Charles and Iva Humphrey Lieske. She married Lloyd Skinner on April 29, 1935, and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1981. Alice was a loving mother and homemaker, who loved to cook for her family and also enjoyed canning and gardening. Alice was known as the neighborhood babysitter, as she had watched many of her neighbors children. Alice is survived by her loving family: daughters, Iva Wesley Wightman, Violet Charles Brough both of Port Clinton, Tana Bill Colanduoni of Turkey Ridge, PA, and Sheila Art Kleinfelter Verb of Oak Harbor; sons, Terry JanSkinner of Cocoa, FL, Norvin Tanya Skinner of Stohl, OH, and Darwin Gail Skinner of Gibsonburg; 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren; sisters, Erma Peters and Mirvel Tack both of Port Clinton, Delite Fahl of Florida, and Ilene Porter of Columbus, IN; and brother, Ruel Buzzy Lieske of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Leroy and Blaine Buck Skinner, and brothers, Julius and Charles Lieske. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Locust Point Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorials may be directed to the family.
