Alice Ann Murphy

Alice Ann Murphy, age 63 of Holland, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice with her loving family and friends by her side. She was born in Holland to Ivan R. and Ilene L. (Jensen) Terrell and on September 3, 1975 she married James Patrick Michael Murphy who preceded her in death on December 25, 2011. Alice was employed by Springfield Schools as a Bus Driver and an OVI Instructor for years before retiring in 2007. She was an active member of Holland Free Methodist Church where she loved taking her grandchildren to CLC. Alice enjoyed playing cards and loved archery. She was often found alongside her husband at Adams Conservation Club and Mudjaw Bowman, where they were life members. She enjoyed eating out with her family and friends. Alice will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving daughter, Shawn M. Murphy; step-son, Patrick (Arlene) Murphy; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Nicholas; 3 step-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn (Gerald) Fredrick; nieces, Julie (James) Jeffries, Lori Roskydol as well as many “adopted” children she claimed as her own. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Ilene; husband, James P. Murphy; brother, Thomas Terrell as well as her niece, Jennifer Fredrick. Friends will be received on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 4-8 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH (419-865-8879). Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 9:30 A.M. until the time of her service at 10:30 A.M. at Holland Free Methodist Church, 6605 Angola Road in Holland. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her grandchildren in care of her daughter, Shawn Murphy.
