Alice K. Luce

Alice K. Luce, 90, formerly of Forest Grove, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Heartland Holly Glen. Alice was a 1941 graduate of Waite High School, employed in banking in the early 40s and later in retail sales. She was a member of a Garden Club, volunteered for Hospice and maintained lifelong friendships with her Card Club. She assisted her husband, Max, with the Toledo Area Singles Dance at the Asbury United Methodist Church. Alice was the widow of Max D. Luce. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Paul J Gillespie and Hazel Noack; stepfather, Harry Noack; former husband, George H. Pfaff, Jr.; Brothers, Paul B., Raymond P. and William P. Gillespie; and Son, Daniel G. Pfaff. Alice is survived by daughters, Susanne K. Kasee and Peggy A. Zientara; grandchildren, Michelle Phillip Hunter, Amy Brian Rose, Dean Laura Visko Pfaff, April Sean McNamara and Seth Theresa Evearitt; and 14 great grandchildren. Friends may visit the family from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Funeral services and interment will be private. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Glendale Assisted Living and the Heartland Holly Glen Care Center for their loving care of our mother. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
