Alice Feltman, 86, of Southlake, Texas and formerly of Toledo, died February 8, 2012 in Hurst, Texas. Born on April 30, 1925 to the late Veronica and Joseph Gozdowski, the youngest of five children. She worked in the banking industry in Toledo and married Don Feltman on September 25, 1951. Alice and Don loved to bowl and were active participants in many leagues well into their 80s. She also loved dogs and enjoyed growing vegetables in the back yard. Alice moved to Texas to be with her daughter and grandchildren in 2006. She especially enjoyed Wii bowling and cheering at Southlake football games. Surviving is her daughter, Carol Barry Russo; grandchildren, Kyle and Kourtney; sister, Henrietta Pepper Okulski; and sister-in-law, Mary Feltman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Don; and siblings, Dorothy, Raymond and Edward. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where scripture services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 with prayers at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to Christ the King Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Alice had many dear friends during the years: Irene, Lucy, Chris, Rita, Delores and Anna. Many thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Autumn Leaves Memory Care and Watermere Assisted Living facilities in Southlake, Texas. Donations in Alices memory can be given to the Alzheimers Society.
