Alice A. Edwards

Alice A. Edwards, 75, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born October 22, 1940, in Port Clinton, OH, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Yakobyson) Slobodzian. On October 17, 1959 in Port Clinton, she married Charles “Chuck” E. Edwards and he survives. Alice was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She worked as a cashier for Wal-Mart in Port Clinton for 16 years, retiring in 2006. Alice loved to camp and hike with her family. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory: Loving Husband of 56 years: Charles “Chuck” E. Edwards; Son: Charles “Chuck” R. (Sandy) Edwards; Daughter: Tami (Robert) Lamb; Grandchildren: Josh (Lindsey) Rees, Tami (Tim Nickoli) Edwards, Amanda Rees, Charles Edwards II, Kristy (fiancé Jon Hernandez) and Michael Cutler; 6 Great-Grandchildren: Brother: Bob (Ruth) Slobodzian; Sister: Helen Ambrozy; Sister-In-Law: Janice Slobodzian. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Martha Slobodzian and brother: Walter Slobodzian. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00AM, Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, followed by the Funeral Service, conducted by Father John Missler at 11:00AM, in the funeral home. Interment will be in Venice Cemetery, 1109 Lima Sandusky Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870. Memorial donations in memory of Alice may be given to the American Cancer Society; 740 Commerce Dr., Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
