Alice Mary Domitio

Alice Mary Domitio, age 84, of Maumee passed away on her fathers 127th birthday Saturday, January 3, 2015 surrounded by her family at The Toledo Hospital.  She was born on April 4, 1930 in Maumee, Ohio to Joseph and Ella (Hertzfeld) LeFevre.  Alice was a teachers aide and playground monitor at St. Joseph School in Maumee for many years.  She was active in her parish, serving as past president of the Rosary Altar Society, communion distributor, and a member of the church anniversary committee.  Alice also enjoyed cooking for her family,  reading, and luncheons with her classmates from the Notre Dame Academy class of 48. Alice is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayne; daughter, Martha (Tom) Farrell; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sons, Anthony and Christopher Domitio; daughter, Roxanne Walker; daughter-in-law, Sue Moore Domitio; grandson, Ryan Domitio; sisters, Dorothy Klumm, Sister Mary Melvin, SND and Sister Mary Alyce, SND; and brothers, Melvin and Carl LeFevre. Family and friends will be received on Thursday January 8, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537 with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio with visitation one hour prior at the church.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43537 or Notre Dame Academy, 3535 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43623.   Online condolences may be given at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at Elizabeth Scott Community and The Toledo Hospital for their care and support.
