Alice Beavers

Alice Beavers (Leger/Saunders), age 87, passed away on May 20, 2018 at home, with her family by her side. Alice was born on May 7, 1931 to Albert and Thelma Leger. Alice was a member of the class of 1949 at Whitmer High School and worked in the retail industry until her retirement. She enjoyed visiting her out of state relatives and going to the casinos in many different states. Alice is survived by her children; Charles Saunders, Joseph Saunders, Clifford (Sharon) Saunders, Mary Lynn Bick, and Marcia Owad; step children, Michelle (Eddie) Breitfelder, and Kevin (Gigi) Beavers. Also surviving are her 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren (with one more grandson due in September), and 3 great great-grandchildren. As well as her siblings, Lloyd (Jane) Carey, Judy (Al) Koslosky, Jill (Al) Greene, and Sandie (Morris) Carpenter and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; husbands Donald Saunders and Gene Beavers; brother Albert Leger; sister Margie Noe; granddaughter Jennifer, and great grandson Joseph. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Restlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
