Alexander Dohy, 88, of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his home. He was born on December 4, 1921 in Kingsville, OH to Louis and Ester Csuky Dohy. On August 2, 1958 in LaCarne, OH he married Marguerite L. Brindley and she survives. Alexander was a member of the U.S. Army who served in World War II and the Korean War. He spent 28 years serving in the military, working as a supply officer, and retiring in1963. Alexander also worked as an insurance agent for Grange Insurance for many years. He was a member of the John A. Fader American Legion Post #114 in Oak Harbor, Elks Lodge #1718 in Port Clinton, Eagles Aerie #712 in Fremont, and the Moose Lodge #1610 in Port Clinton. Alexander enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing cards. In addition to his loving wife of 51 years, Marguerite, Alexander is survived by son: Larry C. Cherie Dohy of North Carolina; sister: Erma Richard Lomardi of Canton, OH; and 2 grandchildren: Brandon and Aaron. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Louise, Jr. and Paul Dohy, and 2 infant children. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor with visitation two hours prior from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. The Oak Harbor American Legion Post #114 and Oak Harbor V.F.W. Post #8732 will conduct military graveside services. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH.
