Alberta M. Kaspar

Alberta M. Kaspar, 92, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Friday, February 19, 2016, at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont, OH. Alberta was born April 10, 1923, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Carl and Blanche (Wickert) Goldbach. On October 28, 1944, she married Richard S. Kaspar and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2010. Alberta worked as a cashier for Higby’s Dept. Store in Cleveland, OH, which is now Dillard’s, Erie Proving Grounds and worked carryout’s for Bay Township Fire Dept. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the study club and the alter rosary society. Alberta was a member of the board at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH, Ottawa County Holiday Bureau, Bay Township Elections Board and the Moose Lodge #1610. She loved to cook and was a wonderful baker. Alberta will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Left to cherish her memory: Sons: Robert (Bonnie) Kaspar of Bay Twp, OH and Carl (Patricia) Kaspar of Colorado; Grandchildren: Ryan (Shonda) Kaspar, Matt Kaspar, Karen Kaspar, Tim Kaspar, Sherri Kaspar, Jamie (Michelle) Frohne, Rudy (Amanda) Hanzel and Grace Hanzel; Great-Grandchildren: Madalynne, Katie Lee, Dalenay, Gus and Marissa. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Visitation will be from 2-8PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, followed by family prayers at 9:30AM, Thursday, February 25, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, Thurs756day, February 25, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Alberta may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
