Albert R. Szymanowski, 86, of Swanton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Toledo Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1930 in Toledo to George and Bernice (Biniakewicz) Szymanowski and he married Wanda M. Belt on May 13, 1950 also in Toledo. Al was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a 1948 graduate of Holland High School. He was owner and operator of Al’s Polishing and Plating, a family business, for over 70 years. Al was also past president of AESF. He enjoyed motocross and was an avid archery hunter. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially with his boys. He always looked forward to the yearly winter hunting and camping trip in Pennsylvania with friends and family. Albert is survived by his loving wife, Wanda M. Szymanowski; sons, Richard A. (Linda) Szymanowski and Christopher A. Szymanowski; grandchildren, Jamie (Erin) Szymanowski, Sarah (Tony) Robinson, Kristin (Eddie) Price, Rachel (Steve) Scott, Jordan Szymanowski and Kristina Irwin; 11 great grandchildren; and sister, Marlene MacQueen. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela L. Szymanowski. Friends and family will be received on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879). The rosary will be recited during visitation at 7:00 P.M. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:15 A.M. followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Ave, Toledo, Ohio, 43615 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization or charity of the donor’s choice.
