Albert J Meiring

Albert John (AJ) Meiring of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home on October 13, 2018. He was was born to Norbert & Leona Meiring on September 22, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Ann, his parents Norbert & Leona, and brothers John & Robert. He leaves behind his sister Delores, brother Norbert Jr.; children John Meiring, Joseph Meiring, and Brenda Golden; and grandchildren Craige Garner, Taylor Meiring, and Halle Golden. AJ was a devoted husband of almost 40 years to his loving wife Nancy. He worked in the trucking industry most of his life, carrying on a long family tradition. In recent years he spent his time outdoors observing nature, especially birds and local wildlife. He was fond of his pet siamese cats, Andy & Molly. Albert was known for his generosity, warmth, and caring, and will be lovingly remembered by the many people whose lives he touched. The family asks that any donations be made in his name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Cuties Fund/Lucas County Canine Care and Control. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 3665 Genoa Road, Perrysburg, OH.
