Albert J. Loeffler

Albert J. Loeffler, age 76, of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 13 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on December 13, 1939 to Edmond and Marcella (Quatman) Loeffler, Sr., in Swanton, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Marge (Stamm) Loeffler on September 1, 1962 and they recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Al worked at GM Powertrain for over 30 years. In addition to his work for GM, he helped with the family farm and volunteered as a fireman for the Springfield Fire Department. He especially enjoyed his time hunting with special friend Ray Feeney and nephews Lenny Stamm and Dutchie Neitzke and father-in-law, Bill Stamm, along with many others. In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children, Cindy (Lake) Christian, Scott Loeffler and Julie (Todd) Wood, seven grandchildren – Sarah (Derek), Jess, Hannah, Brandi, Zach, Cameron and Madyson and two great grandchildren – Gaby and Christian. He is also survived by brothers, Dave (Tracy), Jim and Tom Loeffler, sisters, Linda (Bob) Bahna and Peggy (Frank) Repka and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son William, brothers, Edmond Jr., and Harold and sisters, Anita Mattimoe and Joan Wagner. In lieu of a service the family will hold a celebration of life, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at 2147 Albon Road, Holland, Ohio 43528. A Catholic memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2649 US Highway 20 Swanton, Ohio 43558.
