Albert H. Apling, 83, of Oak Harbor, OH died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born on June 24, 1926 in Carroll Township, OH to Milton and Mary Elizabeth Humphrey Apling. On September 13, 1946 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton he married Dolores Kern and she survives. Albert worked as a lifelong farmer and as a maintenance mechanic for USCO, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor. Albert enjoyed farming, woodworking, fishing, and hunting. In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, Dolores, he is survived by daughter: Diann Apling of Michigan, son: Gary Linda Apling of Oak Harbor, son: David Tammy Apling of Oak Harbor, son: Jeffrey Sue Apling of Oak Harbor, daughter: Lisa William Bill Rauch of Oak Harbor; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother: Ervin Sis Apling of Oak Harbor; sisters: Ada Peters of Marblehead, OH and Norma Mitch Anderson of Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant siblings: Emerson Mary Apling; brother: Wilson Apling, and sister: Wilma Fillmore. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Locust Point Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
