Aida I Leslie

Aida Iris Leslie, age 79 of Perrysburg passed away Sunday July 24, 2022 in St. Clare Commons, Perrysburg.  She was born March 7, 1943 in Puerto Rico to Alejandrino and Georgina Gonzalez.  A 1964 graduate of Maumee High School she attended Toledo Beauty Academy where she was also an instructor,  She owned and operated her own beauty shop for 15 years.  She was active with the Susan G. Komen Foundation being a 2 time survivor.  She enjoyed dancing at any event,  there wasn’t a time where she wasn’t on a dance floor.  She also enjoyed    flowers and gardening,  and crocheting, even teaching her children  the craft.  She treasured most  her family and grandchildren.

The widow of Gerold R. Leslie, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Antonio, Victor, Romanita and Joe Gonzalez; grandson, Hunter Mac  Mikenzie Pachell; and uncles Vincent and Joe Gonzalez.  Surviving are 2 sets of twin daughters, Lisa (Tim) Riley and Lori (Mark) Byczynski and Terri Pachell and Gerri L. (Brian) Walczak; grandchildren, Andrew, Steven, Luc, Morgan, Ally, Chase and Skylar; great-grandchildren, Nero, Brantley, Nora, Jaxon, and Phoenix; and siblings, Maria Johnson, Mary Angela Smith, Ursula Caldwell, Albert, Jim and Alfred Gonzalez.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, July 28, 2022 in the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg after 9 am where funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 10 am followed by the funeral mass at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church 104 W. Broadway Maumee.  Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.  The family suggests memorials to the Susan G.
