Agnes Aggie M. Myers, 83, of Genoa, Ohio died Wednesday morning, October 1, 2008 in her residence. She was born in Martin, Ohio on April 16, 1925 to George and Eva Migota Slovak. She married Dale A. Myers in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa on September 20, 1945 and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2006. Aggie was a homemaker and had worked as a bookkeeper for the A P for 10 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a past president of the former Altar Rosary Society. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and were always on the go. Family was very important to her and birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion was sure to bring a card from Aggie. Survivors of Aggie include her sisters, Ann Smolenski of Toledo, Ohio, Lillian Miller of Rushville, IN, and Elizabeth Valentine of Genoa, along with a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Joseph, Frank, and George Slovak, and sister Mary Micka. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, October 3, 2008 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 S. Main St. Genoa. Visitation will be conducted in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, from 2-4 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 2, 2008. A Rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm on Thursday afternoon followed by a Scripture Service at 7:30 pm. Interment will be in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. The family suggests that memorials in Aggies name be to the Grotto Fund of Our Lady of Lourdes or the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist., Station #3, Genoa.
