Agnes D. Mokri

Agnes D. Mokri, age 92, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on a warm, sunny afternoon at Parkcliffe Alzheimer’s Community on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. She was born on September 21, 1922 to John and Mary Halasz. She was a kind and generous person who brightened the lives of everyone she knew. For many decades, Agnes was a very active and devoted member of her church who volunteered extensively. She was a proud Hungarian who spoke the language fluently and cooked the traditional dishes with unparalleled skill. Best of all her good qualities, Agnes was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Agnes is survived by her sons, John (Lisa); Dennis (Rhonda); Michael (Jan) and Mark (Pamela); daughters, Delores “Dolly” Purdy and Jane (Michael) Berry and three generations of grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John and her siblings. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 9:00 AM until prayers at 10:45 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 E. Broadway, Maumee. Interment to follow at St. Joseph cemetery.
