Agnes Mary Aggie Angel

Agnes Mary “Aggie” Angel, 77, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Thursday, May 12, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Agnes was born on November 11, 1938, in Jerusalem Twp., OH, the daughter of Herbert J. and Catherine Pearl (Lacourse) McManus. On February 23, 1957 in Toledo, OH, she married William E. Angel and he preceded her in death on September 14, 2010. Agnes was the owner/operator and worked along with her husband to build their family businesses, which were the Greenwood Mobile Home Park in Genoa, OH, White Caps Motel & RV Park and Riverview RV Park, both of Port Clinton, OH, until retiring in 2006. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. Agnes was an excellent, avid bowler at Harbor Lanes in Port Clinton and Sunshine Lanes in Deland, FL. She was an amazing swimmer, and in her younger years she loved water skiing. Agnes was a great cook; she produced a cookbook, titled (“Food Fit For Angels”), for her family. She loved fishing and helping her husband, Bill with his little league baseball team, as a team scorekeeper, and all around girl Friday. Agnes especially loved spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are: Sons: Wade E. (Lynn) Angel Sr. of Wesley Chapel, FL and Ward E. Angel of San Diego, CA; Daughter: Dawn M. Angel of Port Clinton, OH; Grandchildren: Wade E. (Bre) Angel Jr. of Orlando, FL and Alexander C. Angel of San Diego, CA; Sister: Rita “Mickey” (Robert E.) Schmidt, Sr, of Pierson, FL and many loving Nieces & Nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandsons: Andrew A. Angel and William B. Angel, siblings: Patricia A. McManus and Joseph P. McManus. At Agne’s request visitation and funeral services were private. Interment will be in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Agnes may be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society, 2424 E. Sand Road, Port Clinton, OH 43452. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa, OH, has assisted the family with arrangements.
