Adrienne “Audrey” F. Kowalski, 94, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024, at home, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Michael and Hedwig “Hattie” (Janowicki) Rybarczyk, born in Toledo, Ohio on September 29, 1930. Audrey attended St. Anthony’s grade school and graduated from Central Catholic High School.
She met and married the love of her life, Robert Kowalski. They were married on September 24, 1951.and spent the next 73 years together; raising their five children and enjoying all that life had to offer them.
Along with raising her family, Audrey had worked various jobs over the years, the longest being at J.C. Penny’s for 25 years. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mom, but her grandchildren and great grandchildren will always know her as “Busia” or “Super Busia!” They will all tell you that she was the “king pin” that kept the family together. Audrey loved gardening, baking, fishing, crocheting, reading, canning and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved a good perch dinner, polish coffee cake, popcorn and a good movie (musicals were a favorite).
Audrey loved to spend time with her family, especially when the whole group gathered together. Though she will be missed tremendously, she will always be in their hearts.
Audrey leaves behind her loving and strong husband, Robert, children, Kenneth (Janet) Kowalski, Steven (Chris) Kowalski, Michael (Carolyn) Kowalski, Suzanne (Tim) Rogers, and William Kowalski, thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael & Hattie Rybarczyk, grandson, Kevin Kowalski, granddaughter, Tricia Kowalski, daughter-in-law, Wendy Thomas, and in-laws, Stanley & Frances Kowalski, Jean Sopko, and Daniel Kowalski.
