Adele Haddad HADDAD Adele Adele Haddad, 95, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Sunset Village in Sylvania. Adele was born in Charleston, West Virginia on February 22, 1912, and has been a member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral since moving to Toledo in 1932. She was a member of St. Georges Ladies Benevolent Society for over 50 years devoting many hours to church dinners and other activities. She was employed for several years at the Curtis Kay Ladies Apparel Shop in Sylvania and was a long time volunteer at the Toledo Hospital Gift Shop. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Gloria; sister, Lorise; brothers, Alex Alice, Louis Margaret; grandsons, Gregg Evelyn, Steven Amy, Darrin Nancy, Brian; six great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews. Adele was preceded in death by her parents, Daib and Mary; husband, Joseph; brothers, George, Lawrence, Ted, and sister, Margaret. Friends may visit on Sunday, October 14 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 West Sylvania Avenue, where Trisagion prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. There will also be visitation at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 3754 Woodley Road on Monday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by funeral services officiated by Father Basil Koory, Dean of the Cathedral. Entombment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers those wishing to offer a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. George Orthodox Cathedral. Adeles family wishes to thank the staff at Sunset Village and Dr. Mark Fine for his care of Adele for many years.
