Adelaide R Hesselbein

Adelaide R. Hesselbein, 89, of Maumee, Ohio died Monday, August 4, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Newry, Pennsylvania on March 16, 1925 to Torrence A. and Lula M. (Holland) Long. Adelaide married her sweetheart, William C. Hesselbein, Sr. in PA. on September 22, 1945. Adelaide volunteered with the Fire Hall in PA. She also was involved with various church activities and the senior center in Perrysburg, Ohio. Adelaide retired from Foodtown after 15 years as a meat packager. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Adelaide is survived by her daughter, Connie (Ronald) Reinhardt of Maumee, OH.; son, William (Lisa) Hesselbein, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL.; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alma (Marcy) Criste and Judy Brennan; sister-in-law, Alicia Fagans and many loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, William Hesselbein III. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St. Perrysburg, OH. (419-874-3133). A memorial visitation for Adelaide will be held September 6, 2014 from 10:00AM-11:00 AM with a memorial service starting at 11:00AM in St. John’s Reformed Church, 906 Maple Ave. Hollidaysburg, PA. 16448.
