Addie Miller Breymaier

Addie Grubbs Miller Breymaier age 86 of Waterville, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee, OH. She was born on June 29, 1925 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Lynton and Jenny Butt Grubbs. She lived in Raleigh until the age of 6 when the family moved to Portsmouth, VA. Her father died when she was 13 years old and her mother went to work. Addie was a graduate of Woodrow High School. Immediately after graduation, Addie went to work at the Northfolk Navy Yard, just 6 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was employed in the drafting room . She had 2 uncles who worked at the Navy Yard as well. Addie married Ward B Miller in 1946 when she was 20 years old. Soon after the wedding, they moved to Newark, OH as Ward took a job with Owens Corning. Addies three children Neil E Miller, Mary Lynn Westfall, and Dale J Miller were all born in Newark, before the family moved to Waterville, Ohio in 1958. Ward continued to work at Owens Corning until he retired. After Ward passed away in 1994, Addie married Darrell Breymaier in 1995. At that time Addies family grew, adding stepsons Randy, Gary and Jeffrey Breymaier. Addie remained in Waterville until her death earlier this month. Music was a big part of Addies life. She taught music lessons out of her home after her children started school. She was the Music Director at Waterville United Methodist Church for 37 years. She was a longtime member of the Profit and Pleasure Club Addie is survived by her children: Neil Trudy; Mary Lynn, and Dale and step children: Randy Mary; Gary Renee and Jeff Susan. The grandchildren are: Sara Harstad Collin; Malin Westfall; Brian Miller Fia; Micah Westfall; Cheng Her; Jenni Breymaier; Kyle Breymaier; Jacob Breymaier, Jacqlyn Breymaier; Kayla Monfort Cody; Emily Breymaier; Luke Breymaier; Elizabeth Breymaier; Emilee , Alec and Katy Hiefferon as well as 7 great grandchildren. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee, OH on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 21, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Waterville United Methodist Church.
