Acie H. Ace Pack

Acie “Ace” H. Pack, age 85, of Perrysburg, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Kingston of Perrysburg. He was born on February 28, 1933 to Willie and Mae (Hopson) Pack in Majestic, KY. Ace was a Carman for C & O Railroad for over 30 years retiring in 1986. He was also Owner/President of E.C. Pack Trucking for 15 years. He was Union President for the Railroad, a member of the American Musicians Association and was honored for being a huge supporter of Disabled Veterans. Ace was the band leader for several bands including “The Sidekicks” and “Ace Pack and the Kingsmen”. He was a singer and songwriter and played music all over SE Michigan and NW Ohio. He recorded an album in Nashville and wrote a song which was included in the Country Top 100. Left to cherish his memory are his former spouse, Eileen C. Pack; children, James “Gabe” (Carolyn) Pack, Donna (William) Swann, and John (Mary) Pack; grandchildren, Justin (Leah Osieczonek), Wesley and Drew Sample, Jacob, Josh, Thomas, and Mitchel Pack, Shanna Lester, Tim, Jenny and Allie Pack, and Heather (Daniel Carruthers) Wilson and Rebecca Wilson; great-grandchildren, Journee Pack, Everly Tedrow and Mark Ellis; siblings, Bill (Wanda Young) Pack, Roger (Carol) Pack, Odell (Sandy) Pack, Punk (Mary) Pack, Jean (Henry) Ward, Beatrice (Ronnie) Maynard, Caroline (Ron) Mills, and Susie (Jerry) Coleman; son-in-law, Jamie Alexander; and special friends, Marcia and Harley Curavo, and Judie Arsenault and many loving nieces and nephews. Ace was preceded in death by his parents; children, Bill and Chris Pack; Cathi Alexander, and Elizabeth Todd; granddaughter, Shea Lester; siblings, Emma Blankenship, John, Moses and Jerry Pack and special friends, Evelyn Wilson and Ray Arsenault. Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121) on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the NW Ohio Alzheimer Association or the Disabled American Veterans.
