Abigail “Abi” Mae Brouwer, 18, of Perrysburg Ohio, stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday October 7, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Abi’s devotion to her family, friends and her faith supported her through her journey and ultimately gave her peace.
Abi will be missed everyday by her father and mother, Jason and Andrea Brouwer, her brother, Caleb Brouwer, her Great-Grandmother, Jean Gramling, her grandparents, Sandy Shepherd, Mark and Janet Lair, and Herb and JoAnna Brouwer. She will also be missed dearly by her aunts and uncles, Mark Lair, Jr., Christopher and Jennifer Brouwer, and David and Jaquelyn Parquet, as well as her cousins, Arabella and Kalynn Brouwer, and William and Benjamin Parquet and many great aunts, uncles and cousins. Abi will also be greatly missed by her many close friends.
Abi was a beautiful and lively young woman who enjoyed living life to the fullest. She was known by her family as an experience collector, always ready for a trip to go on or for a memory to be made. Whether it was a flight across the country, a 4 hour round-trip lunch drive to Raising Cane’s, or a midnight trip to Insomnia Cookies with her closest friends, Abi was always up for an adventure.
Abi was most proud of her role as a foster sister often sharing how much these experiences shaped her future goals and her faith. Abi loved her time serving others at her church youth group, playing soccer with many teams, and weekend trips to her grandparents’ lake houses.
Abi’s unwavering faith was a testimony to many who followed her journey over the last few years. We invite you to celebrate Abi’s life with us at CedarCreek Church, 29129 Lime City Road, Perrysburg Ohio, Campus Chapel, Thursday October 13, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Service will be held in the Campus Auditorium, Friday October 14, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be private at Fort Meigs Cemetery.
