Abdulrahman H Smiley

AbdulRahman H. Smiley, 61, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. AdbulRahman was born July 12, 1954 in Ghazzeh, Lebanon to Hussein A. and Dia A. Smaili. He earned his Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo, before going on to become an Engineer for Ohio’s Environmental Protection Agency. AbdulRahman is survived by his wife, Amal. Abdul will be remembered for his gentle nature and loving smile. A keen follower of current events, his favorite activities included watching and reading the news, playing cards, drinking tea, and spending time with family. Along with his wife, Amal, and mother, Dia, AbdulRahman is survived by his children, Mohammed Smiley, Zyad Smiley, and Noura Smiley; brothers, Ali (Sanaa) Smili, Ahmed (Ghada) Smiley, Dr. Nasser (Phung Vo) Smiley and sister, Lila (Jamal) Abdul-Hadi, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Services will be held at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, 25877 Scheider Rd., Perrysburg, Ohio, 43551, on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 12:30 with burial to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
