ABBY MARIA JOHNSON Abby Maria Johnson, 16, of Perrysburg, Ohio was called home to the Lord on Sunday, April 15, 2012. She died surrounded by her parents and twin brother, Isaac. She was born December 6, 1995 to Mark and Irene (Fernandez) Johnson in Toledo, Ohio. She lost her five year battle to pediatric brain cancer. She was a sophomore at Perrysburg High School. Abby was an active soccer player, enjoyed scrap booking, hanging out with her friends, shopping, and loved to entertain little kids. She was a member of Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church in Perrysburg, Ohio. Surviving are her parents; twin brother, Isaac, and paternal grandmother, Beverly Johnson. Also surviving are Aunts and Uncles, Mike (Beverly) Johnson, Deb (Terry) Babcock, Jim (Sara) Johnson, Matt (Kim) Johnson, Josh (Erica) Johnson, Jason (Christal) Johnson, Mary Fernandez, Ralph Fernandez, and Lilly (Tim) Walters. Numerous cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Johnson, and David & Senen Fernandez. Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, April 20, 2012 with Father Herb Weber officiating. Burial will be at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made by the donor’s choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to Toledo Hospital, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and many family and friends for their strong support throughout these challenging times.
