A. L. Ford

Al L. Ford died Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee. He was born December 20, 1922, in Fayette, Ohio to Elbert Clare and Gertrude Mae (Wilcox) Ford. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army and in 1985 he retired from General Mills where he worked in the warehouse for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and just simply working on the farm. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Virginia A. (Jones) Ford; children, Lillian M. (Lonnie R.) Leu, Ansel Victor (Terry) Ford, Lt. Col. Richard E. (Christel) Ford; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, as well as his brother Ralph Otis Ford. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Renee J. Ford; brothers, Donald and Ivan Ford, as well as his sisters, June Leonard and Evelyn Severence. There will be no public viewing and all services will remain private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in A. L.
