Rosella I Horner

Rosella I. (Buchanan) Horner of Walbridge, passed away on June 10, 2017, her 91st birthday, just weeks after the passing of her beloved husband of 74 years, Elmer. Rose was born on June 10, 1926 to Archie and Lola (Nunn) Buchanan in Alva, Kentucky. She married Elmer Horner, Jr. on October 24, 1942 in Weeksbury, Kentucky. She was a Homemaker and worked as a Beautician at Gwinn’s Beauty Salon in Walbridge. She attended Mainstreet Church for many years. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carolyn Jean (James) Gerber, Jimmy (Nancy Warns) Horner, Michael (Kathy Hamilton) Horner, grandchildren, Todd Gerber, Stacey, Jeremy, Jodi, Jayme, Mike Jr., Brian, and Michelle Horner; thirteen great-grandchildren, and siblings, Tommy (Vickie) Buchanan, Helen Little, Hazel (Anthony) Saylor, and Katherine Brooks; and brother in law, Billy Joe (JoAnn) Horner. Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 11:00 AM. to 1:00 PM. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) with funeral services following at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Lake Township Cemetery following the service. A luncheon will be served at the Lake Township Hall, 27975 Cummings Road, Millbury, Ohio. Memorials may be made to Patient Services, Inc. or the Donor’s Choice.
