Richard Walsh Dalke, 91, of Toledo, Ohio passed away at his residence on Tuesday October, 7, 2014. He was born in Toledo on January 7, 1923 and raised by John and Mary (Walsh) Dalke. Dick was a lathe operator for the Schultz Die Casting Company, which became Garrety Schultz. He was a veteran in the United States Army, where he served proudly in WW II. Dick loved riding horses and has done so since he was a child. Restoring cars, everything from the full size down to the model cars, was a passion for him. Dick owned and operated J.D. Leathercraft , where he repaired many different types of leather items. Dick is survived by his daughter, Nancy Marinelli, Carol (Ken) Michelson, and Sharon Dalke; grandchildren, Christy (Mark) Mercurio, Andrea (Chad) Teague, Michelle Marinelli, Matthew (Melinda) Marinelli, Melanie (Mark) Neumann, Erin (Eric) Kozina, Katie Thomas, and Jon (Brianna) Wysong; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Zachary, Austin, Callie, Devin (Brianna), Cody, Megan, Josh, Nicole, Nathan, Caydence and Alijah; great great grandson, Braxton. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, June and 2nd wife, Eleanor Sieler; and sisters Mary and Patricia. Visitation will be from 9-10:00 am Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. Catherine of Siena, 4555 North Haven Road, Toledo, Ohio 43612 followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. on October 17, 2014 Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Lucas County Humane Society, the American Cancer Society, or the American Alzheimers Association.
