Raymond Robert Trzcinski, age 92, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at his home in Sylvania Township. He was born on September 14, 1924 to Michael and Stella Trzcinski. Brought up in the Polish Village, Raymond attended St. Adalbert Catholic School, Parkland Elementary School, and Calvin M. Woodward High School, Toledo, Ohio. Afterwards, he worked at Toledo Electric Auto-Lite Plant, Ray’s Sohio, Urbanski Hardware and Furniture, and 4 ½ decades at Jeep Corporation as a prompt, reliable and competent employee. Raymond also supported and cared for his mother for 30 years after his father passed away. In 1948, he married Jacqueline Marie Getz with whom he was blessed with 50 years of marriage. Together they raised seven children. The family enjoyed their summer vacations, which included traveling to 47 states and two Canadian provinces and camping at Fort Firelands RV Resort in Marblehead, Ohio. Additionally, he and his wife spent winter months in Florida for several years. Long-time parishioners of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Ray and Jackie later joined Little Flower Catholic Church after moving to Sylvania in the early 1990s. He enjoyed gardening, walking at the mall, and dancing at the Maumee Elks #1850 where he was a member. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife in 1998; siblings Frank, Sophia, Joseph, Walter, Helen, Stanley, and Louis; and grandson Noah who passed away 19 years ago on the same date. He is survived by children: Pam Lumbrezer (Denis) of Swanton, Gary (Monica) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Mark of Toledo; James (Carol) of Powell, OH; Kathy (Samuel) Mock of Wauseon; Scott (Shannon) of Toledo; and Sandy (Jon) Cooper of Louisville, KY; along with 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH on Sunday, July 2 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Door Street, Toledo, OH at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3 where visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
