Paul D. Nero, age 86 of Rossford, Ohio passed away Sunday January 27, 2019 at the Manor of Perrysburg. He was born February 24, 1932 in Clay Center, Ohio to Victor and Elizabeth (Bertok) Nero. Paul attended Genoa High School and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951-1954 seeing active duty during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Patricia Danko on July 9, 1955. He was most proud of the many building projects that he worked on while employed at Rudolph Libbe Inc. for 25 years. He was a long time member of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Parish (St. Stephen). Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Patricia; daughters Karen (Darryl) Haymier and Elaine (Allen) Bishop; grandchildren Brad (Whitney) Frazier, Ryan (Angie) Frazier, Drew Haymier, Allie Bishop, Austin Bishop and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth (James) Cook and Susan Nero; and brother Patrick (Barbara) Nero. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Joe and Victor Nero, Jr.; and sisters Patricia Nero and Rosemary Oliver. Funeral services are private and a memorial mass will be held at a later date. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all at Manor of Perrysburg and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the excellent care shown to Paul. The family suggests memorials to Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Parish (St. Stephen), St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
