Patrick T. Sweeney, age 77, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in his home. He was born April 18, 1933 in Toledo to Thomas J. and Leona Bringard Sweeney. Patrick was a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Patrick served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a printer for Bancer Printing for over 7 years, retiring in 1996. Patrick was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee. He was a former member of the Knights of Equity and the St. Joseph Booster Club. Patrick enjoyed fishing, boating and anything with water or sun. He also liked to work around the house, but the greatest love was his family. The widower of Eleanor Sweeney, Patrick is survived by his children, Michael Kathi Sweeney, Marsha Steve Chestnutwood, Andrew Jada Barker Sweeney and Jennifer Andrew Coburn; grandchildren, Todd Haley Haggard, Jr., Cristi Tom Burmeister, Kari Sweeney, Kevin Sweeney, Drew Coburn, Josh Coburn and Katie Coburn; great grandchildren, Elias Haggard, Isla Haggard and Layne Burmeister; sister, Ellen Abele; and brother, Peter Vicki Sweeney. In addition to his parents and wife, Patrick was preceded in death by his sister Mary Jane Herbert; brothers, James and Lawrence Joe Sweeney and brother-in-law, Joe Abele. Family and friends may visit Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 1-4 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Private interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee.
