Martha M. Ritter

Martha M. Ritter, age 89, of Holland, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born December 9, 1924 to Hubert and Lydia (Davidson) VanGrinsven and on October 9, 1954 she married Elden Ritter. Martha was employed by Springfield Local Schools as a Cook for over 13 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Robert J. (Sheila Straub) Ritter, William J. Ritter and Kenneth J. Ritter; grandchildren, Brandon Straub, Crystal Ritter and Brittany Ritter as well as 6 great grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Lydia, husband, Elden as well as four sisters and three brothers. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 2-8:00 PM in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879). Prayers will begin at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Martha’s name to either Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or to a charity of the Donor’s Choice.
