Mark Alan Harris, 65, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away, Thursday, April 1, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born June 8, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio to his parents, Virgil and Esther Harris, who preceded him in death. He was married to his loving and faithful wife, Mary Harris on November 27, 2010. Mark was an entertainer and performer with a notable sense of humor and an unmistakable laugh. He had a deep passion for the musical arts, gifted with a boisterous singing voice. He performed with the Oregon Community Theatre and Toledo Repertoire Theatre. He was a member of Ashland Church with roles on the worship team and choir. He lived for the stage and the opportunity to use his gift to share his faith through music. Next to the stage, his greatest joy was the experience of being “papa” to his grandchildren, Izzie and Jensen, who were the apple of his eye. He also enjoyed capturing moments with photography, lighthouses, gardening to make a serene oasis for he and his wife, and celebrating Christmas to have the brightest, most decorated house on the street. He lived with a zeal for life and handled his many health challenges with a peace and daring grit often saying, “it is what it is,” even until the end. He is survived by brothers Kevin Harris, Jeff Harris, his children, Grace Greenbank, Andrew Harris, and Brad Harris, his son-in-law, Marshall Greenbank, and his grandchildren Isabella Greenbank, Jensen Greenbank. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 11:00 am at Ashland Church in Oregon, Ohio. Contributions to Ashland Church in lieu of flowers.
