Marie Jeffries

Marie Grace Jeffries, age 92, died at St. Clair Commons in Perrysburg, Ohio on Thursday, August 25, 2022. She was born to Jerome and Grace McDonnell in Waterbury, Connecticut.

She is survived by children Mark Jeffries, Chicago, IL, Marilyn (Dennis) Walton, Perrysburg, OH, Ann (Kenny) Perez, Arlington, TX, Carol Jeffries, Terryville, CT, Steve (Melanie)Jeffries, Easley, SC, Amy (Mark) Montoney, Franklin, TN, Julie Grimes, Eagleville, TN, Janice (Bill) Morgan, Brecksville, OH, and a brother Tom (Elaine) McDonnell, CT. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldine, Pat and brother Jim as well as her daughter Carol and husband Robert. She was grandmother to twenty-five grandchildren and great grandmother to three.

Marie was an avid football fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Her memory was incredible and could recall player positions, numbers and the years they played. Her favorite job that she started at the age of 58 was at The Better Business Bureau in Columbus, Ohio. She worked there for over 7 years and was known for her sales savvy. She used to say to a reluctant client that she really needs this sale because she has eight children to take care of. She smiled when her children said, “mom we’re all out of the house, that’s really stretching it”. She retired in 1995 and resided in Delaware, Ohio until 2017. She attended Delaware Bible Church in Delaware, OH and had many wonderful friends there.

Marie’s passion was her children and grandchildren. It was all she talked about every time you visited with her. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends but we are happy she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be held on October 8th, 2022 at Delaware Bible Church, Delaware, Ohio at 11:00AM.
