Loretta Rose Lori Bond

Loretta R. “Lori” Bond, 85, of Perrysburg, Ohio died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. She was born in Cecil, OH on September 8, 1930 to Charles and Mary (Hoschak) Burns and was married on February 4, 1950 in Defiance County to John W. Bond who preceded her in death on November 3, 2010. Lori was a graduate of Paulding High School and had attended Defiance College. She was a faithful member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg since 1969 where for over 20 years was a member of the Folk Group. Lori worked as a contribution secretary for over 16 years. Lori was awarded the Knights of Columbus “Lady of the Year” award in 2013 and with her husband John, they were awarded the Knights of Columbus “Family of the Year” for their dedication to the church and community. Lori was an amazing friend, wife, mother and grandmother. Lori is survived by her children, Rose (Terry) Myers of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Andrea (Larry) Landers of North Richard Hills, TX, Dennis (Robbie) Bond of Sylvania, OH, and Terri (Bill) Heineman of Woodville, OH; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Matthew, Eric, Danica, Nikki, Rachel, Bryce, and Robert; eleven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ken Mossing and sister-in-laws, Katie Burns and Betty Burns. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and nine brothers and sisters. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Witzler-Shank Funeral home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133) where scripture service will be at 7 P.M. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:45 A.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rose Church, 215 E. Front St., in Perrysburg with burial in St. Rose Cemetery.
