Lilly Mae Grammy Mcgill

Lilly Mae “Grammy” McGill, 81, of Gibsonburg, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 8, 1936 to Lidge and Leona (Woods) McGill. Her passion was her family, children and grandchildren and her trademark was giving kisses that left a lipstick print on her family’s face, forehead, or lips. Lilly enjoyed family gatherings and reminiscing with those she held most dear. She loved antiquing and spent many hours on ceramic doll restoration. She was a strong, independent, and loving woman who will be deeply missed by all. Lilly is survived by her children, Steve (Angela) Sample, Mike (Julie) Sample, Dave (Robin) Sample, Scott Sample, Laura (Mark) Keller, Keith (Mary) Sample; twenty grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sisters, Mona Palermo; Clara Thomas. She was preceded by her parents; one sister; and three brothers. Friends will be received on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 4-8 PM. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
