Larry H. Murdock

Larry H. Murdock, a.k.a. Larryl, Mommas boy, Uncle and Heaven Lee passed away Friday, February 14, 2014. Larry was known and adored by everyone who met him. He was larger than life and had the biggest smile and most obnoxious laugh that will be with us forever. A stranger to no one, Larry was loving, caring, generous, hilarious, and talented. He was a true artist who had the ability to transform ordinary things and spaces into works of art through painting, woodworking, metal sculpture, floral design and photography. Larry was the owner of The Look Salon in Toledo where he made everyone look beautiful and feel special. His clients meant the world to him and he would celebrate them at his annual client parties. He was the best; we are so very proud of him and will miss him beyond words. Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Larry Murdock; step-father, Curt Bryan; his beloved Lillian and lifelong friend, Barry Burke. He will be terribly missed by his mother, Patricia Murdock; life partner, Scott McBride; son, Corey Amy Mulvaney; sisters, Jan Jenni Timm, and Julie Mark Vogelsong; grandchildren, Mariah, Hannah and Logan; uncle Bubba; niece, Danielle Timm; nephew, Brandon Jessica McGuinn Vogelsong; great niece, Baby V; and Scotts family, Joyce, Hal, Jessica Andy Wiles and their daughter Mackenzie, Kelsey McBride and Jeff Rita McBride; childhood friend, Gabi Rieger; and more friends than we could possibly list. Visitation will be held at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. on Thursday from 5-9:00pm and Friday from 2-9:00pm. A memorial service celebrating Larrys life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Paws and Whiskers, 32 Hillwyck Dr. Toledo, OH 43615.
