Joseph B. Conley, 63, died peacefully surrounded by his children on May 3, 2017 in Oregon, Ohio. He was born on December 31, 1953 in Newport News, Virginia. Joseph was a 1972 graduate of Lake High School. Prior to retirement, Joseph was a police officer for almost thirty years. He worked for Lake Township, Walbridge, and Northwood Police departments. Joe loved to hunt, fish, and ride his Harley. He was also an avid gun collector and enjoyed music and playing his guitars. He was a past member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and a Freemason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Daisy Conley; brother, Hershel Conley, Jr.; and grandson, Devin Glenn Cole. He is survived by his brother, Curtis R. (Kay) Conley; children, Joseph B. Conley, Jr., Danielle Conley, Jessica DuPont, Adam (Jada) Conley, Kayla Jo Conley; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 2:00 P. M. to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121), where a service for the Paragon Lodge #788 F. & A.M. will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with burial following in Lake Township Cemetery. Joseph’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and love for Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Your help and caring are so greatly appreciated. The family requests that any donations be made in Joseph’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
