John D. Davis

Davis John Dale JD John D. Davis, age 74, returned to his heavenly Fathers arms on Wednesday April 16, 2015. The son of Sidney and Betty, he was born April 5, 1941 and raised in Toledos Old South End. He was a graduate of Libbey High School. John served in the US Army for 4 years before being honorably discharged. He worked for his step father at American Fruit Market, a family owned grocery store, for over 20 years. John later worked for Lucas County Job and Family Services where he retired. He loved horseracing, enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by sister, Jean (Tony) Mansell; brother, William (Cora) Bauer, Jeffrey (Anne) Bauer; nephews Bradford Szczecinski, Marcus (Liana) Szczecinski, Sidney Bauer, William Bauer, Joel Bauer; many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney & Betty Bauer and sister, Leslie Szczecinski and his father, Lester. There will be no services according to Johns wishes.
