Jeanette Rose Kempter

Jeanette Rose Kempter, 85, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2023, the day before her 86th Birthday. Jeanette was born to Frank and Elsie (Hagert) Heindl in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 2, 1937. She grew up in Milwaukee alongside her two brothers and her family that included many aunts, uncles and cousins.


Jeanette met the love of her life, Ronald James Kempter, at a wedding where the two hit it off and later began to date. They were married on September 13, 1958, and celebrated 63 years of marriage together until Ronald’s passing in 2022. Together they raised four beautiful children. Suzanne, Karen, Bobby and Chris. Jeanette had many great qualities as a mother and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom while her children were growing up.


Jeanette was a devout, faithful Catholic whose faith was very important to her. Jeanette was also a registered nurse and worked in many different specialties throughout her career, loving geriatrics the most. She thoroughly enjoyed being a Hospice Volunteer for over 35 years. In her spare time, she loved all things gardening, sewing, quilting, and canning. She was involved in many quilt and garden clubs, mainly in Wetumpka, Alabama, where she and Ronald retired to for the last thirty years. Jeanette was a very outgoing woman who stayed active, she loved people and life!❤️ Jeanette was compassionate and caring, always sure to make time for her family and others. She was a great hostess, whether it was for big holidays or small gatherings, she was always sure to prepare something great.


Jeanette loved her family dearly and will be incredibly missed by her family and all of those who knew and loved her.


Jeanette is survived by her children, Suzanne Rose (Doug) Kempter-Miller, Karen (Terry) Knight, Chris (Stephanie) Kempter; grandchildren, Brittany Osborn, Brianne Knight, Brett Kempter; great grandchildren, Reagan and Ruby Osborn; siblings, Bernard and Dennis Heindl; special nephew Gene and Kathy Koegnigseder and many dear friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald James Kempter; son, Robert John Kempter; and both of her parents.


Services are being handled privately amongst her family.
