Imogene Jean Diebert, 79, of Oregon, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, December 29, 2010. She was born to Lena and Charles McElwee in Piedmont, Alabama, on January 24, 1931. Jean was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed casinos, flea markets and garage sales. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 51 years, Frederick Diebert, her sister, Evelyn Rae, sons, James Jane, Eddie Deb, Michael Nancy, David Jennifer, Frederick Michelle and Kenneth Margie; 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to her family, Jean will be missed by her close friends in Alabama, Huey and Linda Baker, Harvey and Mary Keiser and Johnny and Debbie Parker. Friends and family may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010, in the funeral home with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Memorials for Jean may be given to the donors choice.
