Jay Eric Fleischmann

Jay Eric Fleischmann, 44, of Holland, Ohio, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 14, 1972 to John and Patricia Fleischmann. Jay married the love of his life, Amy, on August 2, 1996 and they share two beautiful girls, Kaylee Renee and Avery Noelle. Jay worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years in both the engineering and quality departments. However, the job he enjoyed the most was that of coach. Jay began coaching softball at the t-ball level in 2003 and coached every year after that up to and including the summer 2016 travel season. Both Kaylee and Avery had the good fortune of playing for their dad, as did countless other young ladies in Northwest Ohio. Jay coached for the YMCA, STYBS, Wizards Fastpitch and even established his own travel organization, Lady Bombers, that he coached for 2 years. Jay also created Wizards University in the Fall 2015, running clinics and giving lessons, as well as helped coach Little Wizards. Jay is survived by his loving wife, Amy L. Fleischmann; daughters, Kaylee and Avery Fleischmann; siblings, John (Pam) Fleischmann and their children, John, Jr., Jena and Jace, Kristeen (Ken) James and family, Mark Colchagoff and family, Jon (Deb) Colchagoff and family; parents-in-law, Benjamin and Patricia Bennett; siblings-in-law, Erin (Jason) Salazar and family, Kristen (Steve) Fox and family, Lindsey (Justin) Falls and family and Adam (Jessica) Bennett and family as well as many extended family members and numerous close, loving friends he considered family. He is preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879). Visitation will continue on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Highway Holland, OH 43528 with funeral services to follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jay Fleischmann Memorial Fund, through any 5/3 Bank.
