James Joseph Woznicki

James J. Woznicki passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Jim was born on May 14, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, the only child of Marion and Joseph Woznicki. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1964. He married Pamela Sherman in Tiffin, Ohio on January 26, 1980, and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage. They are the parents of one son, Brad Woznicki.

Jim spent his entire working life in some form of the auto business. Working in car sales and parts management for new car dealers before going into the business for himself, buying and selling cars. He loved being in business for himself and especially enjoyed finding reliable cars for family and the neighborhood kids and of course seeing how happy they were when they sold their cars and found what a good deal they had gotten from him. He was the Brentfield Road bicycle repairman and always had a spare tool to loan.

Most of all, Jim loved being a husband and father and took great pride in watching his son grow and succeed in life. He always had time to listen to his son’s stories related to the sports broadcast business and often could be found late at night in the living room deep in one-on-one conversation with his son. He and Pam traveled extensively throughout their life and continued those trips with their son, instilling in Brad his own love for travel.

Jim is survived by his loving family, his wife, Pam, and his son, Brad. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathryn and Bill Sherman.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 23, 2022, at St. John XXIII Catholic Community Church, 24250 Dixie Highway, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, from 10-11 a.m. Mass will follow directly after at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family ask that memorial contributions be made to St. John the XXIII or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Arrangements were made at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, Rossford OH.
