Glenn W. Buchholz, age 88, of Toledo, Ohio died Friday, December 16, 2011 at Spring Meadows Extended Care Center in Holland. He was born June 12, 1923 in McIntyre, Iowa to Rudolph and Erma (Commings) Buchholz and he later married Nina M. Webb who preceded him in death on December 7, 2010, just shy of their 65th wedding anniversary. A Navy veteran of WWII and Korea, Glenn was employed as a Crane Operator for Libbey Owens Ford for 37 years. He was a member of the former Asbury United Methodist Church and in his spare time he enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife. Most importantly, Glenn loved to spend time with his family. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Karen) Buchholz and Timothy Buchholz; daughter, Nancy (Fred) Foster; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Pamela O. and Pamela A. Buchholz; brother, Earl Buchholz; sister-in-law- Edna Buchholz. Glenn was preceded in death by his sons, David and Richard Buchholz. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-9 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy may do so to either Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio or to Southern Care Hospice.
