Gayle Alison Gardner

Gayle Alison Gardner, nèe Stanton, 67, of Maumee, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Gayle was born September 16, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio to Albert and Dorothy (Schudel) Stanton. Gayle was a fastidious nurse and a consummate artist. She found peace in gardening and loved travel adventures with her two children, Tony and Alison. She loved burning scented candles and indulging in jelly beans. She was known to share her sweets with everyone. Gayle did everything with finesse and inspired everyone she met with her infectious smile, incredible intellect, and her exceptional generosity. She was a master of all ceremonies and finger dancing. She was a beautiful arrangement of stardust. While she may be gone from us here, she will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on in the many souls she touched, educated proper grammar to, and loved during her time here on earth. She is survived by her children; Anthony (Mellissa DeConza) Kibler and Alison (Steven) McShane; grandchildren; Michael Joseph, Mason James, Munro Danger, McKeryn Trouble, Malone Mischief and Knox Ferris; her parents, Albert and Dorothy; sisters, Sally Stanton Krist, Lyn (Gene) Buckland, Julie (Ed) Andra and numerous nieces, nephews and dear cousins. She will be reunited in heaven with her dear brother, Michael Stanton. Friends and family will be received Monday, May 10, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 601 E. Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
