Francis Frank J. Kreuz

Francis “Frank” J. Kreuz, age 84, of Maumee, Ohio died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Elizabeth Scott Community in Maumee. He was born in Swanton, Ohio on June 15, 1933 to Joseph and Mary Ann (Dibling) Kreuz. A graduate of Swanton High School, Frank joined the United States Army during the Korean War. Frank was employed by General Motors for 33 years before retiring. He was a member of Marygrove Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a longtime member of Valleywood Golf Club where he made a hole in one on every par 3 and was a club champion in 1989. Frank was a good man, a loving son, a good brother, an honorable countryman and a great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Frank went by the “measure twice, cut once” rule and actually he would measure more like five times before doing any cutting. If something needed to be done, he did it. If something needed to be fixed he fixed it. He was a man of honor and a protector who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sister, Theresa Falter; many nieces and nephews, as well as his sister-in- law, Joyce Kreuz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Ann; brothers, Joseph Kreuz and Raymond (Sylvia) Kreuz; sisters, Margaret (Leo) Michels and Mary Lou (Bob) Weyburne. Friends will be received on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Marygrove Immaculate Conception Church, 1750 N. Raab Road, Swanton, Ohio 43558 where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Marygrove Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
