Douglas Paul Guernsey

Douglas Paul Guernsey, age 80, of Maumee, Ohio and previously Whitehouse, Ohio, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was born to Paul L. and Faye Margaret Young Guernsey in Temperance, Michigan. Doug worked for 30 years as an Industrial Facilitator in the Skilled Trades division for Chrysler Corporation in Perrysburg, Ohio. He was a member of Church of the Cross, United Methodist Church on Eastgate Road. Doug was a 58 year member of the American Legion Post #384 in Whitehouse, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; children, Lisa; Kelly; Susan Jeff Morro; David Elaine; and childrens mother, Karen. Also surviving are step-son, Steve Betty Wallington; Lil Sis, Jo; grandchildren, Dougie R.; Sean; Melodie; Kyle; Sonnet and Stone; step-grandchildren, Randy; Tasha and Hannah Rose; great-grandchildren, Dougie A.; Xavier Baker and many other step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren in a wonderful blended family. Friends may gather at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Church of the Cross, 1750 Eastgate Road, Toledo, Ohio 43614 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
