Dolores Dee G. Feeney, 77, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 22, 1934 in Teaneck, NJ, the daughter of Robert Joseph and Margaret Bryne Bell. Dee graduated from Caldwell College in 1956 with a degree in Library Science. Upon graduation she worked for the Hudson Dispatch in Union City, NJ and later for American Airlines in Manhattan, NY. On August 13, 1960 at Epiphany Church in Cliffside, Park, NJ, she married Joseph B. Feeney. After raising her three children, Dee worked as a librarian at Terra Community College from 1984 until 1998. After retirement Dee volunteered at the Wide World Shop in Port Clinton. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Dee was an avid reader and bridge player, a wonderful craft-maker and an excellent seamstress. She was a sweet, gentle person and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Husband: Joseph B. Feeney; Daughters: Terry Bob Ernst of Cincinnati, OH and Maureen Mo Ron Reese of Westerville, OH; Son: Joe Feeney of Brecksville, OH; Grandchildren: Mary and Will Ernst; Connor, Logan, Liam and Chloe Feeney; Sister: Lucille Garvin Kiernan of Ridgewood, NJ; Brother: Robert Bell of Hammonton, NJ ; 20 Nieces and Nephews; Brother-in-Law: John Alice Feeney of Baltimore, MD; Sisters-in-Law: Eileen John Lynch of White Plains, NY and Margaret Edward OBrien of Scarsdale, NY. Dee was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be 3-5 7-9pm, Monday, January 2, 2012 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Prayers at the funeral home will begin 9:30am, January 3, 2012 followed by Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Father John Missler, at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Dee may be given to the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Dept, Stein Hospice or Immaculate Conception Church.
